Bringing R&R Horn, Inc. into the pre-construction process
offers our clients the benefit of the company's estimating and
project management team reviewing project plans for
constructability with the intent of fixing conflicts and
potential problems prior to construction, as well as filling
voids neglected in the plans and specifications. Understanding
a project’s bottom line and having the ability to choose value
based options gives our clients a guaranteed budget they can
rely on without contractor derived change orders.
Value Engineering
Our estimating and project managers work closely with the design
team and owners to review all money saving avenues while providing
the most project scope possible.
Construction Management
The project management staff and document control systems R&R
Horn, Inc. has put in place allow for an organized approach to the
timely construction of projects. Coordination of architects,
engineers, inspectors, subcontractors and material is crucial to
the success of projects. Our management team is well trained to
administer and facilitate all project document control from RFI's
to weekly certified payroll. Information flows directly to the
jobsite where on-site project superintendents adhere to strict
schedules and strive for coherency on the job. The field
construction knowledge and experience of our superintendents
ensures fluidity of the various trades on-site.
General Engineering
The company began as a General Engineering contractor in 1992. It has since successfully completed a wide range of
projects ranging in size from $5K to $5M. Projects scope: earthwork, aggregate base, underground utilities including
storm drain, sewer, gas, fire and domestic water supply, on-site sewer treatment facilities, concrete, paving, irrigation
and landscaping, and athletic field finishes. Many of these projects required confined space training.
R&R Horn, Inc. is a certified installer of Rehbein Environmental Solutions, Inc. EPIC System, a sustainable irrigation
system.
General Contracting
As a General Contractor, R&R Horn specializes in school facilities and multi-residential building projects. We have built
an excellent reputation as a Lease-Leaseback Partner successfully negotiating and completing facilities projects ranging
from modular buildings to gymnasium and cafeteria facilities to stadiums with project sizes up to $5.5M. The company's
most current contract is a two-story classroom building.
Lease-Leaseback Partners
Performance and relationship building is essential to the success of a Lease-Leaseback Partner, as the Owner is afforded
the opportunity to choose a contractor with a proven track record and substantial resources to meet tight project
schedules.
The Lease-Leaseback contract is based on a guaranteed maximum price without contractor driven change orders.
The contractor reviews project plans for constructability with the intent of fixing conflicts and problems prior to
construction; these would typically be change order opportunities in traditional public bid-build contracts. Lack of
contractor driven change orders negates potential adversarial relationships between the contractor and architects/
engineers.
When involved in reviewing and submitting for additional grants, the contractor can often increase funds received by
the client.
Emergency Services
R&R Horn, Inc. has worked with various city and county agencies to provide storm water repair, water line repair,
habitat mitigation and snow removal emergency services. The company's labor and equipment resources enable a quick,
professional response to such needs.
